Winter Storm Wiley Snow, Ice Reports

Winter Storm Wiley spread a swath of snow and ice from the Missouri Valley into the Mid-Atlantic states from Mar. 15-17, 2014.

Below are some of the notables from this late winter storm, by region.

East:

Peak snow total:Haywood, Va. (13.7")

Washington(Dulles):11.1"

Washington(Reagan Nat'l):7.2"

Baltimore, Md. (city): Up to 7.2"

Charleston, W.V.(NWS office): 5"

Philadelphia, Pa.: 4.7" (Brings season total to 67.6", making it the second snowiest winter on record there).

Sleet/ice reports:Under 0.3" ice accumulation in parts of southwest Va., northern N.C.; 0.6" sleet mixed with snow in Roanoke, Va.

Midwest:

Peak snow total:Oak Hill, Ohio (6")

Harrison, Ark:5"

Sleet/ice reports:1/2 - 1" sleet in Ellington and near Belleview, Mo.; Generally 0.1" or less ice accumulation in parts of southeast Mo.
