A piece of debris from a SpaceX spaceship has washed ashore in the Isles of Scilly, southwest of Great Britain, and some amateur digital investigators believe they have solved the mystery.
U.K. Coast Guard officials confirmed they found a piece of rocket debris that was , according to the CBC. When they got a closer look at the barnacle-covered object, they concluded it was a piece of debris rather than a dead animal.

Once photos of the debris surfaced, some Reddit users studied photos of old spacecraft to determine where it originated. After looking back, it was Reddit user "__R__" who concluded it was likely from SpaceX CRS-4 and .
That means the debris was located in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Mashable said.
The debris likely fell into the Atlantic Ocean , according to Space News. That launch successfully of supplies and hardware to the International Space Station, NASA said.
The rocket launched on Sept. 21, 2014 after being scrubbed due to poor weather conditions a day earlier, NASA also said.
