The remnants of Tropical Storm Colin moved offshore from North Carolina Sunday.

Colin formed over South Carolina early Saturday morning from a circulation that produced bands of rain over coastal Georgia on Friday. Just 24 hours later, the system dissipated.

Colin's origins came from an area of spin near Florida's East Coast on Jun. 30, which spun up into an impressive swirl near the coast of Savannah, Georgia, the following day. The circulation moved inland over South Carolina, but winds increased offshore to around 40 mph, making it a tropical storm.
