More than 7 inches of snow fell at the National Weather Service's Flagstaff office, which is actually located just west of the city, in Bellemont, Arizona.

It's looking a lot like winter again in parts of northern Arizona, where a storm system has brought several inches of snow to areas near Flagstaff.
The National Weather Service's Flagstaff office –which is actually located just west of the city, in Bellemont – on its Twitter page Friday morning. Areas of western Flagstaff saw smaller accumulations, while eastern Flagstaff had little to no accumulating snow at all.
"You may hear snow, May and Arizona together and scratch your head. However, Flagstaff's Pulliam Airport sits at roughly 7,000 feet elevation, over 1,700 feet higher than Denver," said weather.com meteorologist ."Flagstaff averages one May day a year with measurable snowfall, including four of the last six Mays dating to 2010."

Snow plows were out on the roadways Friday morning, , according to the Havasu News-Herald. On its Twitter account, the Arizona Department of Transportation warned drivers to due to slick and icy roads Friday morning.
The snow event comes just days after 5.6 inches of snow was reported at Pulliam Airport last Friday and Saturday. Most of the snow should dissipate from the area by Saturday morning.
