Another season of winter weather is upon us, and for the second year in a row, The Weather Channel announced it will be naming winter storms that fit appropriate criteria.
Twenty-seven winter storms were named in the 2012-13 season, going one name beyond the predetermined list. Snow and ice storms continued into May of last season, forcing a need for an extra name, Achilles, to be tacked on to the end of the list. Above are iconic images of all 27 winter storms to refresh your memory as we roll out another list for a new season of snowstorms.
