Hurricane Dorian Intensifies to Category 3; Will Pound Coasts of Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia Through Friday

Dorian is a Category 3 major hurricane once again.Dorian's outer rainbands are lashing coastal parts of the Southeast.Hurricane and storm surge warnings are posted along the North and South Carolina coasts.The worst impacts along the Georgia and South Carolina coasts will be felt into early Thursday morning.Peak impacts will arrive in North Carolina and southeastern Virginia Thursday into Friday.Dorian could then strike Atlantic Canada as a post-tropical storm this weekend.

Hurricane Dorian is now hammering the Carolinas with storm surge flooding, heavy rain and high winds.
