Hilary’s Rain Triggers Southern California Debris Flow

This was the scene as a debris flow rushed down from the higher elevations in the Angeles National Forest, northeast of Los Angeles. Debris flows were a major concern in vulnerable areas of Southern California as Hilary dumped heavy rainfall over a period of several hours, and in this video, you can see large debris mixed in with the flood water.
