Firefighters rescue kitty stuck in storm drain.

Firefighters in Winchendon, Massachusetts, came to the rescue of a cat last week that found herself stuck in a storm drain, by using a little ingenuity.
After receiving a call that the poor kitty was in need of help, the firefighters arrived on the scene to find the 1-year-old cat barely hanging on.
One step closer to being freed.

"When we arrived the cat was barely breathing and moving as she was hanging from the grate," they wrote in a
Two firefighters removed the grate and placed it upright to allow the cat to breathe and then used dish soap to grease up the kitty's head so they could slip her head through of the grate to free her.
"When the owner arrived we had him get some dish soap from his house and we applied it around the cat's neck," the department wrote. "We slowly worked his head back into the grateand within a couple minutes we freed the cat," the department wrote.
It was a happy ending for this little feline.

The cat's presumed owner, Tim James, posted a response to the fire department's Facebook post, saying the kitty was "embarrassed but doing good now."
