An asteroid that was discovered just two weeks ago is expected to make its nearest pass to Earth on Halloween and will be closer to our planet .
Identified as 2015 TB145, it , according to the administration's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Measuring somewhere between 920 and 2,034 feet in diameter, it's about the size of a large skyscraper, Gizmodo also said.

But don't worry. This asteroid is not a threat to our planet. It will pass by roughly 1.3 lunar distances from Earth; in other words, it will never come closer to the planet than the Moon.

NASA did say 2015 TB145 is traveling at an "unusually high" velocity of 35 kilometers per second (nearly 22 miles per second), which made it harder to spot. It's also likely that the asteroid's "eccentric and high-inclination orbit" kept scientists in the dark until recently.
"There's no danger of a collision, but the asteroid would pack an enormous punch if it did hit the Earth, ," wrote Engadget.
If you own a telescope and live in the Northern Hemisphere, there's a good chance you'll be able to see 2015 TB145 as long as skies are clear, Gizmodo added.
The next approach within one lunar distance by a large asteroid will be in Aug. 2027, NASA also said.
