Winter Storm Jayden is closing schools and government offices and canceling hundreds of flights as the storm moves into the South and East on Tuesday after dumping snow throughout the Plains and Midwest.
Snow was reported early Tuesday in Alabama and Tennessee as well as some parts of northern Georgia.
The storm , while parts of North Dakota and Minnesota into northern Iowa, northern Illinois and northern Indiana saw alt least 6 inches of snow.
Winter Storm Jayden is responsible for three deaths as of Tuesday.
Two separate crashes along an icy Interstate 80 in western Iowa killed two people on Monday. A 50-year-old woman from Boutiful, Utah, was In a separate accident, a 9-year-old boy was killed Sunday evening when the vehicle in which he was a passenger skidded off the highway and rolled into a ditch in Case County.
A man was killed on Monday morning , the Chicago Sun Times reported.

Winter weather contributed to a near Zeeland, Michigan. The accident closed the interstate in both directions. It wasn't immediately clear if any injuries occurred.
States of emergency have been declared in several states, including Wisconsin, Michigan and Alabama.
, far northern Georgia, south-central Tennessee and western North Carolina, while winter weather advisories are issued from northern Louisiana to western Virginia and West Virginia. Black ice is a threat through Wednesday in the South.
In the Northeast, central and upstate New York, northeastern Pennsylvania and western and northern New England are under winter storm watches.
