Afghanistan Avalanches Kill 21, Destroy Dozens of Homes
XXX Avalanches that struck Central Afghanistan on Thursday have killed at least 21 people, destroyed dozens of homes and left several missing in what's been a brutal winter in the country. According to Ahmad Tameem Azimi, spokesman of the ministry for disaster management, seven people remain missing following the avalanches in central Daykundi province on Thursday while 10 were injured.
