Wintry conditions in the upper Midwest caused a number of traffic pileups on Tuesday.
Northbound State Route 8 in Hudson, Ohio, came to a standstill about 3 p.m. because of a crash between Seasons Road and State Road 303, the city of Hudson reported.
The pileup appeared to involve , according to WEWS-TV. The city says southbound lanes could also be affected as emergency vehicles reach the scene.
Motorists reported at the time of the crash, WOIO-TV reported.

Michigan State Police said a Kalamazoo man died about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when his car drove into a school bus that was stopped for an earlier accident on U.S. 131 in Allegan County, the Associated Press reported.
Evert-Jan Ohler, 65, was driving his SUV and just south of Martin, Michigan, Fox 17 News reported.
Nineteen students and a driver were aboard the bus from Providence Christian School. The AP said one student was hospitalized with minor injuries.
More than 3 inches of snow was measured in the county Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

A pileup involving as many as 12 vehicles closed westbound Interstate 196 at Lake Michigan Drive in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at about 11 a.m., state police said. Later a jackknifed tractor-trailer closed I-196 at College Avenue NE.
I-94 was closed in both directions near Kalamazoo at one point, the AP reported.
The Leo Frigo Bridge in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was closed for almost four and a half hours Tuesday by a , WBAY-TV reported.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-43 where the bridge crosses the Fox River. Northbound lanes were closed so emergency vehicles could get to the scene.
There were injuries, including some people with broken bones, WBAY said.
