A woman was found dead southwest of Pittsburgh as flooding struck western Pennsylvania.Officials confirmed dozens of water rescues were performed Wednesday night because of the floods.Roads and rail service were also impacted in the region.
Emergencies were declared and a woman's death was confirmed by officials following a round of torrential rainfall that led to flooding in the Pittsburgh area.
Southwest of Pittsburgh, officials in the town of Bridgeville said they recovered a woman's body , CBS Pittsburgh reported. She was later identified as , the Observer-Reporter said.
Officials also told CBS Pittsburgh that swift-water rescue teams performed more than 60 water rescues in Allegheny County as floodwaters rose Wednesday.

The flooding promptedleaders to declare states of emergency , WPXI.com reported. Numerous water rescues were performed in Bethel Park, including the evacuation of 30 people who got stuck inside a flooded restaurant, the report added.
The floods also shut down rail service in parts of western Pennsylvania, and some roads were closed as floodwaters made them impassable.
