Two men clearing a roof in Crested Butte were buried by a roof avalanche.One of the men died and the other was hospitalized.In a separate incident, a man was buried for two hours after roof snow fell on him.
One man has been killed and two others injured after being buried by roof avalanches in Colorado.
Two men were clearing the roof of a commercial building in Crested Butte, Colorado, about 4 p.m. Saturday when the , the Gunnison Regional 911 Center reported.
Employees working at the business heard one of the men yelling and dug him out quickly. The other man was buried for up to 30 minutes and was unresponsive when he was found, officials said.
Blair Tulliver Burton, 37, was taken to a hospital and treated for hypothermia. Stephen Michael Martel, 25, died at the hospital, officials said.

The day before, Alex Theaker, 28, was clearing snow at a home in Mount Crested Butte when he was buried by a roof avalanche.
Theaker was found breathing but unresponsive shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday after being , the Colorado Avalanche Center said in a report.
Theaker had created a "basketball-sized" airspace inside his bent arm, the report said. He was taken to a hospital and released the next day.

The Crested Butte Fire Protection District said there have has been at least three roof avalanches recently.
"It is very important that everyone uses extreme caution when shoveling their roofs. The snow is very heavy and with the right factors in play, can lead to severe harm or death," the district said in a Facebook post.
The Crested Butte area received more than 50 inches of heavy, wet snow in the past week.
