The spring months – September through November in the Southern Hemisphere – are peakbushfire season for northern parts of Western Australia. Such conflagrations can quickly turn deadly, especially when strong winds fanthe flames and residential areas are threatened.

The fire ,Kimberley Regional Duty Coordinator Ben Mueller told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). Since then, firebreaks and backburning tactics have been used to keep the inferno away from homes and towns, the report added.

"You can't put water on a fire that big because it is ineffective," Mueller told ABC.

No deaths or structural damage have been reported at the site of the bushfire, Wildfire Today also said.
