Jorge Chavez, chief of the Civil Defense institute, told RPP that 15 people were killed and 34 injured in the collapse of the hotel in Abancay in the Apurímac region of southern-central Peru, about 300 miles southeast of Lima, the capital.
Chavez said dozens of people were dancing at the wedding party when they were caught under the collapsing wall and roof, according to the Associated Press.
