Winter Storm Ursa Closes Out April, Opens May (PHOTOS)

Winter Storm Ursa continued to march across the southern Rockies Saturday, dumping more than two feet of snow in some areas.

Denver received at least 5 inches of snow, with the highest Colorado total, 24 inches, recordedin Colorado City, said weather.com meteorologist Jonathan Belles. As of Saturday afternoon, most roads were clear in Denver.

Meanwhile, treacherous driving conditions were reported Saturday from southern Colorado to northern New Mexico. Several interstates were closed Saturday in New Mexico because of poor travel conditions.

On Friday, heavy snow coated parts of Wyoming, measuring more than two feet in some areas through Friday. The Wyoming Department of Transportation advised against running through the eastern and central parts of the state as snow begins to fall.

Some areas in the Upper Midwest could see some wet snow as the storm stretches into thefirst days of May.
