Winter Storm Thor made a wintry mess in the South, Midwest, and East during the last weekend of February and the first week of March.

Parts of western Kentucky have tallied over 20 inches of snow from Thor, including 25 inches near Radcliff. Lexington, Kentucky has set a new two-day snowstorm record that had stood since World War II. More than a foot of snow has also fallen in southern Ohio, southeast Missouri and West Virginia. In addition to creating hazardous travel conditions on the roads from Dallas-Fort Worth to Baltimore, Thor impacted numerous airports with ground stops and flight delays. Most notably, snowy and icy conditions at LaGuardia Airport .
