Taylor entered the West Coast of the United States late on March 7.The winter storm spread snow from the Sierra to the Rockies into March 8.Snow and gusty winds were observed in the upper Midwest March 9-10.Taylor concluded its cross-country journey in the northern Great Lakes and New England on March 10.

Taylor entered the U.S. through Northern California late on March 7, then crossed through Nevada and the central Rockies on March 8, with mountain snow from the Sierra to Utah's Wasatch Front and the central Rockies.
Dozens of avalanches were reported in the Rockies, including , that buried cars on Highway 91 on March 7. No one was injured. The avalanche came in between an earlier disturbance and Winter Storm Taylor. The snow from Taylor only increased the risk of additional avalanches.
Snow and wind impacted the upper Midwest from March 9 into March 10.
Interstate 80 in Wyoming from on March 9 due to blowing snow and reduced visibility. Parts of Interstate 90 and Interstate 29 in South Dakota had to be closed as well.
Winter Storm Taylor concluded its cross-country journey on March 10 by spreading snow and gusty winds through parts of New England and the northern Great Lakes.
