Winter Storm Eris Blankets Rockies, Plains, Upper Midwest with Snow (PHOTOS)

Winter Storm Eris will continue dropping snow from the Rockies to the Upper Great Lakes through early Saturday morning, moving east before tapering off.A few snow showers may linger into Saturday morning in eastern Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

To the south, an area of light to moderate snow will slide into the southern Rockies and southern High Plains of southern Colorado, New Mexico and Texas/Oklahoma panhandles. Lingering light snow is possible in the central High Plains of Nebraska, western Kansas, southeast Wyoming and northern Colorado.
