Our fifth named storm of the season, , dumped snow from Missouri to Maine.
Electra was first named on December 11, and began spreading its swath of ice and snow on December 13 in the mid-Mississippi Valley. The "E" storm of 2013-2014 was named a full 11 days before the same "E" storm the previous season.

Freezing rain resulted in mainly light ice accumulations, but 0.30" of freezing rain was reported at Round Spring in south-central Missouri. Ice-glazed roads also caused a school bus accident 2 miles east of Cameron in northwest Missouri Friday afternoon, injuring six people on the bus.
