Winter Storm Euclid is moving into the Ohio Valley and northeastern states, snarling airports and roadways ahead of its path.

The storm is dumping six to twelve inches of snow throughout the region, and winter storm warnings stretch from Indiana to Maine.
As of Wednesday afternoon, over 1200 flights connecting through six different airports have been cancelled. Major airport hubs in Philadelphia, Indiana, Chicago, New York, and Cleveland have been affected.Delta Spokesperson Morgan Durante stated that the airliner cancelled 200 flights on Wednesday alone. Delta is offering free re-booking and the airline expects to get back on track by Thursday afternoon.
American Airlines Media Relations states that American Airlines and American Eagle have canceled approximately 500 flights today due to weather throughout the U.S. A majority of these cancellations are flights into and out of Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) following winter weather and ice that hit the North Texas area yesterday. The airline also canceled a number of flights at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and three New York-area airports (EWR, JFK and LGA) because of the storm in the Midwest that's moving into the Northeast.
The storm also forced the postponement of an NBA game between the Chicago Bulls and the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers announced the postponement Wednesday afternoon, a few hours before the scheduled tip-off. No date has been set for rescheduling the game.
