Two new videos capture frightening minutes after a Turkish plane was hit by lightning in mid-air.
The Associated Press reports the Turkish Airlines plane had taken off from Istanbul late Thursday and was en route to Izmir when lightning struck, setting one of the engines on fire.

The video above shows the plane on fire, looking like a fireball streaking through the sky. It was shot by NTV television.
The second video shows you what was happening inside the plane. You can see the fire sparking outside the window. The interior lights flash - then come back on.
The pilot reportedly turned on the motor's own fire-extinquishing gear, and the plane made an emergency landing. None of the 114 people on board were hurt.
