A new image from Mars has the internet buzzing. The photo, taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover, appears to show a woman with long, flowing hair and a dress with a low neckline, standing on a rock facing towards the rover’s camera.

NASA hasn’t commented on the image, but it gained attention after the UFO Sightings Daily .“I have to admit, it looks like a woman partly cloaked,” said poster Scott C. Waring. “Its hard to tell if this is a living being, or a statue of a being from long ago. However, a statue that small would be eroded and destroyed easily, so it has a higher chance of being a living being.”This isn’t the first odd item the Mars rovers have uncovered on the Red Planet. Back in 2014, on the Martian surface, which turned out just to be a piece of a larger rock broken and moved by the wheel of rover.

In fact, theories about alien life have been part of the US space program since beginning. John Glenn saw luminous “fireflies” outside the window of his Mercury capsule, and the Apollo 11 astronauts reporting seeing flashes of light on their way to the moon.Rational explanations exist for both incidents - Glenn’s fireflies were ice particles from dumped urine and the Apollo 11 flashes were reflections from jettisoned equipment. But to this day there are those who believe that these were some of the first contacts with extraterrestrial life.
