"The Ghan" is a scenic and artistic travel treat
"The Ghan" is a scenic and artistic travel treat

Take a ride through the Australian Outback in this scenic and artistic music video. The Ghan is a venerable train line that bisects Australia from the city of Darwin on the northern coast to Adelaide in the south. One of the recent passengers on this 1,851-mile trip through the Australian wilderness was music video maker and producer , also known as Pogo. Bertke put his remix skills to good use, turning three-day tour into a mesmerizing two minute musical tour into the heart of the Outback.

The Ghan -- originally called The Afghan Express -- is named in honor of the Afghan camel drivers who began exploring the Outback in the 19th century. Camels themselves make several appearances in the video, as do several tour guides and travellers along the way. The sights and sounds are turned into an enchanting collage by the editing skills of Bertke.

Bertke is most well known for music video remixes of popular children's movies. But we are excited to see him turning his eye to travel and hope to see more in the future.
