European photographer Uwe Reichert stepped outside over the weekend to capture an image of the moon in close proximity to Venus, but he wasn't prepared for what would join the pair in the photograph.

Reichert's photo also included a streaking meteor, but at first, he wasn't sure he was able to capture , the European Space Agency reported. After a more careful examination of the pictures he took, Reichert realized he was able to capture the streaking fireball alongside the moon and Venus.

Reichert took the picture Saturday night nearHeidelberg, Germany, not far from his home, the ESA also said. He was one of hundreds to spot the fireball as it flew across the nighttime sky over Europe;based on the reports they received, scientists believe the meteor tracked directly over Belgium and the Netherlands.

The fireball was also spotted over a Foo Fighters concert in the Netherlands.

There were no reports of damage after the meteor collided with the Earth's atmosphere, which created a brilliant green glow seen in Reichert's now-viral image.
