A winter storm with the potential for blizzard conditions is aiming for the Upper Midwest. The Weather Channel has named this storm Winter Storm Xenia.

As a reminder, a blizzard officially occurs when the following criteria are met:

Visibility 1/4 mile or less in falling or blowing snowSustained winds or frequent gusts of at least 35 miles per hourAbove conditions are observed for a minimum of three consecutive hours
