An intense storm that brought high winds, large surf and snow to Hawaii killed one person, injured at least five others and left a swath of damage across the islands.
A home in Halenani Place in Kihei was damaged when a large tree fell on it, Maui officials said. No one was injured.
Downed trees and power lines blocked many roads. Strong winds knocked a large tree onto two cars Saturday morning in downtown Honolulu.
