What’s the best way to view an exhibit that features portraits of various underwater scenes? Deep below the sea, of course.

Two of Per AQUUM’s luxury resorts in the Maldives are showcasing artist Andreas Franke’s “Phantasy Fairytale” exhibit below the Indian Ocean for its guests to view at the resort’s various underwater viewing windows.

At the NIYAMA resort the submerged gallery can be seen from inside the underwater music club Subsix and at the Huvafen Fushi resort the photos can be seen from inside the underwater LIME spa.

Each piece of art created by Franke has been sealed with Plexiglas in stainless steel frames. The exhibition features art that “combines photography, nautical exploration and digital mastery to produce compelling underwater dream worlds where Western fairytale characters, such as Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood, are creatively superimposed against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean,” according to a statement.

Guests can purchase the artwork after getting a manicure at the spa or enjoying a drink at the music club.

The “Phantasy Fairytale” exhibit can be viewed in the Maldives through May 31. For more information about the exhibit, visit Huvafen Fushi’s site or NIYAMA’s site.
