National Geographic Traveler’s annual photo contest offers photographers the chance to win an eight-day National Geographic Expedition to Alaska for two.

Photographers’ submissions are aimed to fill one of the four different categories: Travel Portraits, Outdoor Scenes, Sense of Place and Spontaneous Moments.
Judges are evaluating the images on "creativity and photographic quality."
The winning photographer gets to embark on an adventure of their own to explore the wildlife of southeastern Alaska with a team of naturalists.
The magazine has already seen incredible submissions. The slideshow above contains some of the entries from the 2014 National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest.
