Can't decide if you'd rather hop in the car or take to the skies for your next big trip? You might not have to choose anymore.
The Transition flying car, which had a test flight in March of this year, was recently on display at an air show in Oshkosh, Wis. for its first public flight, reported NBC. The hybrid car-plane is called a "roadable" aircraft and can shift from driving down the highway to flying through the air, says USA Today.
According to Terrafugia, the company behind the Transition, the vehicle has both steering wheel and gas and brake pedals for when on ground, and a stick and rudder pedals for in the air. Although it's still in production, the anticipated purchase price for the Transition is $279,000 and those eager to get behind the wheel can reserve a place in production.
