For those families planning to take a day or two off from skiing, local businesses offer other outdoor activities including snowshoeing and snowmobiling. At Big Sky Resort, the family can take advantage of a winter zip-line experience or spend the day on the tubing hill. There is even an opportunity to go dogsledding at the top of the mountain near Moonlight Basin. While planning your trip to Big Sky, don’t forget to leave a day for an excursion to Yellowstone National Park, which is just a short drive away.
