The folks at the in Niagara Falls, New York, have a big problem on their hands. It’s Ralphie the French bulldog. The cute pup seems like he would be first in line to get a family, but Ralphie isn’t really what he seems.
The shelter doesn’t even sugarcoat it, saying in a , "We don't actually have too many nice things to say so we're just going to come out with it."
It added, "Ralphie is a terror in a somewhat small package."
His first owners tried to train him, but when the lessons didn’t take, they gave him up for adoption. His second owners said he "annoyed their older dog," but the shelter said it was more than that.
“What they actually meant was: Ralphie is a fire-breathing demon and will eat our dog, but hey, he's only 26 (pounds)."
The shelter recommended that Ralphie’s new owners be the “,” (like Game of Thrones’ Daenerys Targaryan), or someone who doesn’t have kids or other pets and a lot of time on their hands to give Ralphie the stern training he needs.
The cute face is deceiving.

After the first Facebook post went viral, the shelter posted an on Ralphie’s progress. As a good shelter should, it is giving the Frenchie a lot of love and attention, but at the same time, training him the best way it knows how; by bringing him out.
Liz Marshall, the director of Events and Marketing for Niagara SPCA told weather.com, "We took him on a field trip and he did very well with humans. We did not run have a run in with any other dogs that day."
She added, "Ralphie is a bit of a puller so we have fitted him with a harness. We know for sure he doesn't mind the snow."
Ralphie even took a training trip to a Joann Fabrics and Craft store to walk around and get social. Let’s just say it didn’t go great, but it wasn’t a complete failure.
The shelter said he was acting a bit like a "jerk," but did well enough to be rewarded with a afterward.

The shelter told weather.com they have had inquiries about Ralphie from at least 40 different states.
A recent , included video and explained why he hasn't been adopted yet saying, "While we've used humor to help make his behaviors more palatable for public consumption, his behaviors are no joke. His only saving grace is he is small and has some obedience training. He really needs a no nonsense owner. Otherwise, there may be no hope for him. That's why we're being super picky about his adopter."
If you're looking for a challenge and want to visit Ralphie, he’s waiting for his person at Niagara SPCA. We wish him all the success.
