Best Ski Run: Elk Park Ridge and Elk Park Meadow are 1600 vertical feet of wide-open groomer that let’s you cruise. If you get bored, drop right into the meadow for a sun softened south-facing slope that’s killer on powder days and spring conditions.
Best Après-ski Haunt: Whiskey Jaques. While there are not many on-hill options at Big Sky, Whiskeys remains the best. Lots of live music and an eclectic mix of tourists and locals promise entertainment all night.
Best Dining: Fondue Stube. Enjoy a different sort of evening and feast with men in lederhosen. Located in the Huntley Lodge. Reservations are recommended.
Best Lodging: Huntley Lodge. Named after NBC broadcaster Chet Huntley, this hotel features a nice breakfast buffet, and if you’re feeling risky, there’s a hot tub to poach for après.
Best Off-Snow Activity: Fly fishing. Gallatin river is awesome winter fishing for down day activity. Nearby Yellowstone is only one hour away, and there are many snowcat and snowmobile tour operations in the area.
Don’t Miss: Five new gladed runs on Andesite Mountain will offer advances terrain on a slope that’s protected from sun and wind, meaning the snow will stay soft and fresh.
