Animals have the power to and the smaller—and cuter—variety can even ." But as the finalists from the 2015 Comedy Wildlife Photography prove, they can also make us laugh.

While all the entries are laugh-worthy, Julian Rad ended up taking the first place prize with his image of an adorable hamster looking like it's in a rush.

"Juding was really difficutl as we had so many amazing entries," Paul Joynson-Hicks, the founder and wildlife photographer, said in a press release. "But in the end, we found an incredible selection of technically brilliant photographs which are hilarious!"

The is a new competition in partnership with the ,an international wildlife charity working throughout the world to stop individual wild animal suffering and protect threatened species in the wild. The competition aims to find and feature technically excellent photographs of wildlife doing amusing things, or looking funny, alongside humorous expressions. The images must be of wildlife in wild areas.

According to a press release, a total of 1,502 entries were submitted from 52 countries.

"I can't believe the incredible amount of entries we have achieved in our first year and from so many different countries," renowned wildlife photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks said. "Judging was incredibly hard as we had a lot of hilarious images to try and whittle down to the final 45."

The Grand Prize includes a photographic safari in Tanzania with Joynson-Hicks as guide and tutor and a Nikon D750 camera with a 24-85 mm lens.
