Robert Vicino has a vision for surviving the apocalypse, but you probably won't be able to afford it.

The California-based entrepreneur recentlyunveiled the $1 billion Vivos Europa One shelter in Rothenstein, Germany, according to Elite Daily. It's an invitation-only compound for the rich that will hold up to earthquakes, tsunamis, chemical attacks and even a nuclear blast, Vicino claims.

"Plus, the five-star doomsday shelter features everything you would expect from the 'ultimate doomsday escape,' including swimming pools, gyms, theaters, helicopter services, restaurants and gorgeous custom apartments," said Elite Daily.

Vicino had previously scrapped plans for a massive underground bunker in Atchison, Kansas, after fears of the 2012 Mayan-predicted apocalypse waned, CNBC reported. That doomsday shelter would have been some 2 million square feet and was rumored to feature an indoor golf course and enough room to house 5,000 people, the report also said.

Apparently, the doomsday fears are backbecause Vicino's vision for the super-rich will be built in Germany. It's not yet known how much it will cost to take residence in this shelter should it be necessary, Elite Daily added.

A gallery of the shelter and proposed amenities can be seen at the top of this page.
