A Dutch inventor has designed a new bicycle thatcleans polluted air while the rider pedals.
Daan Roosegaarde calls his invention the Smog Free bicycle. It worksby sucking in polluted air into a contraption located on the front of the bike that filters the air before releasing cleaner, purified air back towards the rider.
According to Architectural Digest, Roosegaarde was in emerging markets like China, Brazil and India face each day. Residents in cities like Beijing or Rio de Janeiro face ever-increasing health risks associated with air pollution. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, around .
