Photographer and IT Project Manager Marcin Sobas from Poland recently took a trip to charming Tuscany, Italy to capture the beautiful colors and hills of the city.
His first visit to Tuscany was about eight years ago, but he has made frequent trips back since. “The land is unique because of the landscapes,” he told weather.com. “Hilly colorful area with a lot of farms, sheep, tractors and cypresses.” He deems it the “perfect place for shooting.”
Though Sobas calls Tuscany perfect, he admits that there are many challenges in landscape photography. “I think the biggest is the weather condition,” he said. “To get perfect photos, you should get perfect visibility and good light.”

In addition to clear days, Sobas also likes to shoot on foggy days. “Despite my knowledge and experience, sometimes everything is different than I expected,” he explained about the weather. “But sometimes, all we need is luck.”
And with some luck, he can tell the story he wants. “I’m looking for landscapes with [a] motif [of] houses, sheep, deer [or] birds,” he said. He believes that these elements evoke more emotion for the photo story he wants to tell. “Such images stimulate our imagination.”
