Although the weather held out and provided a safe trip for Turkish Arilines flight #TK1878 from Milan, Italy, the passengers on board were still left shaken.

After a failed attempt to land at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, the due to serious damage on the right landing gear and wing, according to Airlive.net.

As the right side of the plane shot off smoke and flames, the pilot attempted a second landing, this time successfully.

Luckily, all 97 passengers were safely evacuated and brought to the terminal.
