If you're looking to upgrade your home to solar power, a new retailer is getting in the game: Best Buy.

This week, the company announced it's partnering with energy company Solar City to provide customers in-store estimates on solar savings, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The service will be provided in more than 60 stores across Arizona, California, Hawaii, New York and Oregon, according to Best Buy's website.

The company has been working to turn around its reputation and its revenue asretail giantslike Amazon continue to dominate the turf, according to the financial website The Motley Fool.

Best Buy isn't the first store to expand into selling solar. Forbes reports both Home Depot and Lowe's have had partnerships with solar and clean power companies. In September 2013, IKEA announced it's U.K. stores would sell solar panels.

As retailers offer more solar power options, more American homeowners are willing to make the switch.The Solar Energy Industries Association reports solar was the second-largest source of new electricity generating capacity in 2013, second only to natural gas. SEIA also notes the cost of solar continues to fall.

Solar City was founded in 2006 and has customers in 14 states plus the District of Columbia, according to its website.
