Hurricane Lisa made landfall in Belize late Wednesday and is now weakening as it tracks farther inland.
Lisa made landfall as a Category 1 at 4:20 p.m. CDT near Belize City.
Storm surge flooding, damaging winds and heavy rainfall impacted the coastline as Lisa moved inland. The former hurricane will continue to pose a threat of flooding rainfall on Thursday in Belize, Guatemala and southeast Mexico.
