Lifeguards at the North Island Naval Beach in Coronado, California have had to deal with an unusual incident that goes beyond their expertise. That's because the victim isn't a struggling swimmer, but a 45 foot yacht that washed up on the beach weeks ago during a flash storm, according to Fox 5 San Diego.
The luxury boat is valued at over $200,000 and has been slowly sinking as .
"I've never seen anything like that in the 30 years I've been surfing in Coronado," Jason Ronis told Fox 5.
The vessel is originally from San Francisco, but very little else is known about it. The owner has not claimed it, and it could soon be property of the federal government.
