Residents of one Japanese city were willing to endure some dangerous weather to score a few discounted electronics from the Apple store.
The store in Sapporo priced at the equivalent of $300 U.S. dollars, according to Kotaku. Inside those bags were a surprise combination of expensive electronics, such as iPads, MacBook Air computers and Beats Wireless headphones.
To buy these bags, however, they had to camp out on the night of Jan. 1 to secure one the next day. Mother Nature made a snowy appearance, dumping plenty of wintry weather on their sleepy, chilly heads.

According to Weather Underground data, temperatures in Sapporo , and snow showers continued into the morning.
Word spread quickly on social media sites, where some of Japan's residents began to worry about the safety of the campers. Among those , according to Rocket News 24, were these people:
"They're gonna freeze to death!"
"What part of that is 'lucky'?"
"I hope they return alive ..."
"Are the bags worth enough to almost die and have to go to the hospital?"
The most common electronic-filled bag at the event , Tech Times reported, so most people got a 50 percent discount on those goods, roughly. The luckiest few got the bag with well over $1,000 in goods, including a MacBook Air.
There were no reports of injuries during the frigid event. Below are a few tweets from the overnight camp-out.
"About five officers came by to make sure that the people who weren’t moving are still alive!"
"It’s 5 a.m. now –is everyone still alive? Don’t die!"
"I finally made it into the Sapporo Apple Store! I was among one of the first people in line so I got an iPad mini 3."
