Amazing Photos of the Canadian Rockies
Amazing Photos of the Canadian Rockies
Jan 17, 2024 3:41 PM

Photographers David Guenther, Christopher Amat and Mike Seehagel created Great North Collective, a community for artists to share their work inspired by the Canadian landscape. Earlier this month, the three spent five days driving, hiking and flying through the Canadian Rocky Mountains to capture the beauty of the region.

"We drove over 1200 km of the area and it still feels like we have barely scratched the surface," .

The group drove from Southern Alberta into the Rockies. The winter weather had made some of the roads difficult to navigate, and some of the places they wanted to photograph were off the beaten path, so hiking was a necessity.

When Guenther, Amat and Seehagel reached Canmore, they had the opportunity to take a helicopter ride to Marvel Pass, a site known for it's breathtaking view.

"I think we can all agree that the helicopter tour was the best part," Guenther told weather.com. "Not only was the scenery incredible, but we got the unique experience of landing in Marvel Pass, and getting out. Knowing that you're that far from civilization into the Rockies is awesome."
